about me
Anne Zanatta
Born and raised in the country of Canada, a multicultural mosaic of language, tradition and amazingly beautiful landscape, I learned early on in life about how our internal and external landscapes interract, influence and ultimately affect each other and the things that seem to occur in our lives. My studies, personal experience and continued interest in self development and awareness all served to show me the importance of mindset in everything: what we do, what we learn and ultimately, what we experience.
With more than 30 years working as an English language teacher and teacher trainer, my profession in education has been diverse and varied - encompassing various sectors and levels of education and ultimately, leading me to complete a PhD in Foreign Language Learning.
After years of working with students, teachers and other professionals, I’ve come to understand that successful language learning doesn’t occur when it focuses on textbooks or grammar rules and rote memorization. In fact, as I witnessed on several occasions, those very tools sometimes even hinder and slow-down the language learning process simply because they were not suited to the learner or they elicited and enforced limiting beliefs about learning that had been developed in childhood and the teen years, completely interfering with the natural internal process of learning another language.
Thus, I believe that fast, effective language learning can be enhanced and improved by first examining and understanding a number of aspects including learning style, personal preference, previous learning experiences and any of the many limiting beliefs that so many of us have due to previous experience leading to anxiety, stress, worry and fear when we try to learn or use the language we are learning.
I'm convinced that language learning doesn't and shouldn't have to be difficult and stressful. In fact, learning and particularly language learning, can and should be a creative process that is easier, faster and more enjoyable when it integrates the very aspects that make us who we are intrinsically: our hearts, minds and bodies.

Integrated Language Learning
Learning, like living, is my passion!
AND, I TRULY BELIEVE that they are interconnected and affect each other in both positive and negative ways.
I HAVE NO DOUBT that our personal Belief Systems determine how we live and experience both life and learning and, as a result, the final outcome of both.
WHAT'S MORE, it is our very Belief System which shapes why we learn, what we learn and ultimately, how we learn.
REAL, DEEP LEARNING only occurs when our minds, hearts and bodies are fully engaged, integrated and aligned with the content to be learned.
WHEN THIS HAPPENS, learning becomes more than just the acquisition of knowledge; it becomes empowering personal development that improves our lives and our mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and in turn serves to enrich, improve and empower the experience of our lives!
So, if this message resonates with you and if it is your desire to use the learning of English for empowered personal growth, then join me as we embark on
a unique learning adventure together!
